Dubrovnik is one the most beautiful Mediterranean cities.
If you are interested in culture, history and art you will have in Dubrovnik what to do. Old City has maintained his right structure of Middle age streets. You can walk days and days and discover facades of gothic, renaissance or baroque houses and palaces in which common people used to live. You can find numerous churches (rich, but not big) that will tell you stories of rich Dubrovnik history.
Famous city walls, very well preserved, built and upgraded for many of the centuries with it fortresses, towers and bastions, from which you can have spectacular view on roofs, sea and surroundings, are still open for sightseeing. If you are visiting Dubrovnik during summer you can find as well Dubrovnik Summer Festival with numerous concerts, shows and folk dances. One of the recommended places to discover in Dubrovnik are villages and islands with it authenticity and spirit of old times.
If stories of past and culture does not interest you the most, that does not mean you have nothing to do in Town. For sea they say it the most cleanly in the world, and if you do not like the hotel beaches you can always go to the nature and islands.
